Meet LT!
Lauren E. Terrell is a multidisciplinary creative, strategic storyteller, and all-around creative acrobat—born and raised on the South Side of Chicago (yes, she’s a Gemini and yes, it shows). With 15+ years of experience across fashion, advertising, and television, Lauren knows how to bring big ideas to life and keep things running smoothly behind the scenes—without ever losing the spark that makes it all meaningful.
She kicked off her journey at the Savannah College of Art and Design, earning her BFA in Fashion Design in 2008 before heading to New York to work in menswear production and product development. Over the years, she called New York, Tampa, and D.C. home—picking up new skills, expanding her creative lens, and learning how to navigate different industries with style, hustle, and heart.
In 2020, mid-pandemic and mid-life pivot, Lauren moved back to Chicago to replant her roots and reimagine what was next. That return home led her into the world of media production, where she’s now a Senior Manager of Creative Operations and Producer at Paramount (BET Networks). There, she leads branded content and campaign integrations that connect audiences to stories—and brands—with heart, humor, and cultural relevance.
At the core of everything Lauren does is a deep love for storytelling and a passion for helping creatives shine. She’s all about making sure creative teams have the support, systems, and space they need to thrive—because great work doesn’t happen without a solid foundation.
Outside of work, Lauren is a visual artist and content creator. Her paintings and mixed media work explore themes of pop culture, Black identity, and everyday beauty, and have been featured in galleries and pop-ups across the country. Whether she’s painting, producing, or managing a million moving parts, she shows up with clarity, compassion, and a whole lot of creativity.
Lauren is currently pursuing her Master of Business Innovation in Design Management at SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design, Class of 2027), where she’s diving deep into design strategy, systems thinking, and inclusive innovation. She’s also a graduate of The One School (Art Direction, 2023) and the Chicago Urban League’s IMPACT Leadership Program at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business (2023). She also holds a Post Baccalaureate in Art Therapy/Psychology from the University of Tampa and her original BFA in Fashion Design from SCAD.
She believes the best ideas live where culture, empathy, and design collide—and she’s just getting started.
